Wheat productivity in Egypt is considered the first rank productions as a spring wheat under the irrigated condition.

The yield potential for Egyptian varieties exceeds 7.5 ton/ha.

Total cultivated area reached 1.5 million hectares

Total wheat production reached 10.0 MMT

Total wheat consumption reached 20.6 MMT

The wheat gap reached 10.6 MMT
