[개발] A Preliminary Investigation the Use of CFRP For Internal or External Reinforcement of RC Bemas in Bulgaria

On January 2007 Bulgaria become a member of the Europe Union and following this, very big infrastructure projects were initiated. This paper presents the research activities undertaken by the authors to answer the infrastructure needs of their country. It introduces some of their work for development of adequate and advances solutions to wards infrastructure improvement. This research is aiming both at building new engineering structures, as well as rehabilitation and strengthening of older structures. The problem of corrosion of conventional steel reinforcement being particularly acute in Bulgaria, the search for alternative reinforcements was the main objective of the authors. They initiated and implemented an experimental research program on the use of carbon fibre reinforced polymers (CFRP) materials as a potential replacement for conventional steel reinforcement in new reinforced concrete buildings. They have also investigates the potential use of external reinforcement with CFRP laminates to strengthen existing structures.
